| The EOAEA: Who Are We?
The Eastern Ontario Automobile Extrication Association was formed in 1990 in response to a need for better training for firefighters responding to motor vehicle accidents. The primary objectives of the training programs were to train firefighters to do their tasks safely and confidently, and to offer ways of handling the trauma accompanying serious accidents. Association members are full-time, part-time or volunteer emergency service members who reside within the E.O.A.E.A. boundaries of Eastern Ontario. Our objectives are to further the education of emergency service personnel in the art of automobile extrication, and to participate and cooperate with regional committees and other groups in the set-up and function of auto extrication competitions and learning symposiums. As well, our purpose is to raise funds for the purpose of promoting this dissemination of knowledge to emergency service workers. |
